Our favourite London pubs to SHUFL in!

Looking to get your SHUFL on in London? Whether you’re north, south, east or west, there’s a shuffleboard within touching distance. Here’s the lowdown on some of our favourite pubs to SHUFL in the capital:

SHUFL Shack at The Victoria, Mile End

If you haven’t yet stumbled on the SHUFL Shack in the garden of The Victoria in Mile End then we urge you to ‘go east’ and pay it a visit. You can book a table in advance, ask for your pucks at the bar and lead your mates down the garden path (literally!).

You’ll find two 12-foot Grand Champion SHUFL tables at the bottom of the garden and a self-ordering drinks tablet, so there’s no need to interrupt your winning streak once you get the handle on the SHUFL curve. As you’d expect for a pub that is part of the Yummy group their offer is big on food so why not make it brunch or lunch or dinner – or stay and play and go for all three!

The Hercules, Lambeth

Forget the Lambeth Walk, these days it’s all about the Lambeth shuffle. One of our shuffleboards takes centre stage at this recently refurbished pub, whose décor pays homage to South London’s entertainment heritage. Named after the Circus Strongman, in 1805 the pub was just a stone’s throw from the Astley Amphitheatre – founded by Philip Astley the modern father of the Circus.

A 14ft Grand Champion precision-engineered SHUFL table has pride of place, surrounded by old pictures and promotional posters referencing the Victorian circus. Available to hire by the hour, customers can choose from 21 craft beers and a strong drinks line-up to sip and slide with.

The Samuel Pepys, Stew Lane

This hidden riverside gem of a pub, which was a former tea warehouse, is perched on the north bank of the river Thames in the heart of the City. Named after the pleasure-seeking, famous diarist, inside the pub you’ll discover a 14 ft maple wood SHUFL board with unrivalled views of the Thames. It’s the perfect place for City workers to let some pucks fly while sipping Kent brewer
Shepherd Neame’s finest ales. Popular for functions, shuffleboard brings another dimension to parties looking for something different to do!

The Vine, Kentish Town

Like a moth to a flame, we’re drawn to the glow of the ‘Every Day I’m Shuffling’ neon at The Vine in the leafy surroundings of NW5. If you follow the light, you’ll discover two of our finest 12 ft Grand Champion tables. They’re available to hire by the hour and include full table service at the flick of a switch. Free to play from 7pm – 10pm at the Monday Shuffle Club, round up your
friends and slide on down to Kentish Town.

The Grove, Ealing

‘Go West’ to W5 and opposite the famous Ealing Film studios, you’ll find The Grove pub, where their motto is ‘Push it, push it real good’. That’s exactly what you’ll find The Grove customers doing at their Monday night Shuffle Club on one of our 12ft Grand Champion shuffleboards – it’s free from 6pm, so you can get in the practice ready for one of their regular tournaments.
