COVID-19: What you need to know

18th März 2020SHUFL Community

Along with the rest of the hospitality industry across the world, we have been watching the COVID-19 situation as it evolves and wanted to let you know how we’re handling everything at SHUFL.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our employees, customers and their shuffleboard players.

We are monitoring the situation daily by implementing the latest government advice and guidance in each country that we operate in. In addition to the advice from the local public health officials and authorities, we are keeping informed and following the advice from the  World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

This is a challenging time for the hospitality industry, we stand with you as we navigate through this difficult time.

  • For now, we are honouring existing shuffleboard install commitments where possible and depending on the local restrictions. Our team have been briefed to observe the highest hygiene standards with regular hand washing and minimal contact by social distancing.

  • All our employees are working remotely and have been advised to avoid travel where possible and keep all face-to-face meetings to a minimum favouring phone/ video communication.

  • For a period of time, we have limited capacity to host tournaments and activities at our partner venues.

  • We advise our customers to sanitise shuffleboard pucks between player groups.

This is an ever-changing situation where we will be monitoring and adjusting our plans and timeline accordingly.

We have always been proud of how shuffleboard has become more than just a game in our partner venues by bringing new people together. We know that now more than ever, providing support in our communities is key for pulling through this very challenging time. We encourage you to be responsible and look after yourselves and each other – remember your humanity.
